I started working on the theme for this thing about 6 years ago when I saw the teaser trailer for the first transformers movie (yup, that was ages ago). I can honestly say it has taken that longgggg journey for me to begin to feel confident enough in 'my sound' and just accept this thing as finished - actually none of the tracks were "complete" until a month ago, lol.

The EP covers a wide range of tempo and genres to cover the different styles I've experimented with over the years. Ironically, the play order that felt most natural is actually the order I started the tracks (2008, 2010, 2012, Aug '13 and Dec '13) so gives you a chronology of the way my sound has changed over the years.

My aim was to make a collection of tracks that communicate the theme when you listen all the way through. Hopefully there's at least one track on there for everyone; if you like more than one thats a plus :D

HARIKIRI blasts into 2014 with his debut Transformers EP. After nearly 12 years of performing worldwide the London-based producer has finally put together the 5-track compilation, boasting genre-bending tunes inspired by the Transformers series. HARIKIRI samples the films, cartoons and games of the cult robot-franchise with sounds transgressing dubstep, drum & bass, moombahton and beyond, to create tracks which hurl listeners into the world of Autobots and Decepticons, all battling for the fate of Cybertron between your ears!

The Transformers EP has already attracted support from the likes of: Munchi, UFO!, JSTJR and many more, and is available for download from 30/12/13.
